Down Syndrome SA Board
Achieving our Vision
The Down Syndrome SA has undergone a transition from being a predominately member - administered to a professionally-managed and governed organisation. Key to this transition was the recruitment of a new CEO, the commissioning of a Governance Study, the writing of a new constitution, and the recruitment of a new professionally skilled board.
The Board is comprised of three elected directors from the membership, and six appointed directors. Directors are appointed for a term of three years, and are eligible for re-appointment for a further two terms of three years. Directors retire on a rotational basis, thus ensuring there is always continuity of skills and experience.
Down Syndrome SA welcomes the new board and we look forward to engaging the community and our members in lifting the profile of the organisation and raising vital funds that will ensure our growth and longevity.
