Funding – Fundraising
A variety of outside funding sources have been identified on other pages within this site. Whilst these sources contribute a significant amount of the Society’s overall income it is important to acknowledge that the organisation does generate some of it’s own income.
Funds are generated on an ongoing basis through:
- Membership (to the Society and Club Slick)
- Consultancies
- Training courses
- Sales of publications and resources
- Performances by the Club Slick Demo team
- Sale of Club Slick merchandise
In addition the Society has raised funds through:
- Entertainment books
- Raffles
- Chocolates
- Pies
- T-towels (handprints of children in EI)
- Calendars (personalised with a photo of a child and/or the family)
- Love’s Gift Rose*
* This is our Charity Rose named Love’s Gift and it has been registered to the Down Syndrome Society of SA Inc for a period of 25 years. During this time it cannot be copied by other nurseries or sold under their name. Each rose sold worldwide over this period of time will generate money for our Society.
