Membership
The Society welcomes new members at anytime so why not show your support by becoming a financial member today.
Your annual membership commences from the date your payment is received and processed with renewal reminders issued one month prior to membership expiration.
The types of memberships available are outlined below and application forms can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate membership category in the information box on the right hand side of the screen.
We ask that you complete the application form and either post, fax or email it to the Society along with the appropriate method of payment or you can drop in at the office in person. Whilst we do accept credit cards, please note that at this time we are not in a position to accept/process credit card payments electronically (i.e. instantaneously online). Credit card payments will incur a 5% surcharge (note: Family memberships are exempt from this surcharge). It is strongly recommended that you do not send cash through the post.
Your membership assists the Down Syndrome Society in its endeavour to provide ongoing support and services that will enable people with Down syndrome to live their lives with dignity and respect.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support.
Types of Memberships

- Friends of the Society
- Club Slick Membership (refer to the Club Slick page for more information about this category of membership).
Full Family or Individual Membership
Full family membership is open to families who have a son or daughter with Down syndrome or similar chromosomal disorder. The membership covers all family members including the individual with Down syndrome until he/she leaves school. This membership entitles the family to cast one vote on issues where a vote is called.
Individual membership is open to adults with Down syndrome and is required once the individual has left school. The adult will no longer be covered by the family membership. The individual is entitled to cast a vote on issues where a vote is called.
Please note that once an Individual membership is taken out a separate family membership is required if the remaining family (i.e. parents and siblings) wish to remain financial members of the Society and therefore eligible for membership benefits.
