Conferences
The information presented here relates to conferences (past and future) that contain material of interest to people associated with Down syndrome. Some conferences will be aimed at the Society’s education staff only whilst others may be of interest to staff, other education professionals and families alike.
Relevant and interesting articles will be added to our database.
World Congress on Down Syndrome
A World Congress on Down syndrome is held every 3 to 4 years and the 10th Congress is to be held in Ireland in August 2009. Until the website is launched, refer to the Down Syndrome Ireland site for more information.
The Congress brings together parents and professionals from around the world. Groups from DSSSA have attended the last 2 Congresses (Vancouver in 2006 and Singapore in 2004) with our young Club Slick performers setting the stage alight. Presentations made by staff from the Society were well received and generated sales of our publications and resources; ‘Right to Know’ is proving popular.
