Club Strike (Ten Pin Bowling)
Club Strike, our Ten Pin Bowling program is held at AMF Cross Road on the first Friday night of each month (excluding January). There are 2 different age groups:
- Ages 10-15 years bowl from 6.00pm - 8.00pm
- Ages 16 years and over bowl from 7:45pm - 9:45pm.
At present, around 10-15 bowlers attend the earlier group and around 30-35 in the latter group.
The bowling program encourages development of friendship networks and is an activity designed for bowlers to participate independently, without parental assistance, and increase their decision making skills. At the end of the year, trophies are awarded to those bowlers who participated regularly throughout the season.
The bowling evening is supervised by Laura Millbank, Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, and Teressa Reschke, Developmental Educator, with the assistance of 2 to 3 regular volunteers.
